In Kanto, Johto, and Sinnoh, there's very little, if any, 3/4 music. This is a clever way to tie the characters together, although we might be able to use it further. These include Lusamine's overworld and battle themes, as well as Lillie's first encounter theme. However, a handful is in 3/4 or a multiple. Most music in Pokemon(and in general) is in 4/4 time signature, or some multiple of it. Let's talk about something else though: music. There are plenty of characters that share some of these traits, and I'm sure you can think of some on your own(we'll come back to it later). Sadly, real-world heredity may not be that useful, as it cannot account for things like blue and green hair(thanks, Stones). Again, going by physical appearance(light skin, green eyes, yellow hair), we could try to connect them to other characters or regions. I don't believe there's information detailing exactly how long the Aether Paradise has existed, but it was probably erected within a lifetime of when S/M takes place. Judging by their physical appearance, they definitely don't appear to be native Alolans, and it's possible that they are from another region.

I'm going to start by looking at that second question. So is it possible that players of earlier games have met characters with ties to it? Or perhaps that Lusamine and/or Mohn is/are from regions explored in earlier games? Has anyone else wondered if the Aether Foundation or anything connected to it has had an influence in earlier games? After all, items called "ethers" have been around since Kanto (Aether and ether are nearly the same word and are derived from the same root word).
